For investors
A proprietary energy-data platform, built and proven in Pakistan
BijliBachao.pk builds the intelligence layer around energy infrastructure in Pakistan — Solar Performance Cloud for solar-asset truth, WattEY for energy-and-cost truth. Both run in production against real Pakistani sites. This page pre-answers the questions a serious investor would otherwise need a first meeting to ask.
The problem
Installing the equipment is only the beginning
A factory, mill, hotel or commercial site doesn’t experience “a solar system” — it experiences an electricity system, fragmented across grid, rooftop solar and generator, running at different times and metered in different vendor portals. The equipment produces data. The meters produce data. The utility produces a bill. The hard part is turning all of that into a number an engineer, operator, CFO, manufacturer or investor can actually trust.
That gap — between selling a system and being accountable for what it does for years afterward — is the problem BijliBachao’s two platforms were built to close.
The market
A large, fragmented, under-served energy market
Pakistan’s energy infrastructure is becoming increasingly distributed: commercial and industrial sites now combine grid electricity, rooftop solar, generators and — increasingly — storage. Every installed system adds meters, portals and data that nobody reconciles. The fragmentation is the opportunity, and Pakistan is the proving ground: a real, physical-asset base with a data layer that is largely unowned.
The engineering challenge was never displaying data — it was deciding when the data could be trusted. That is the part competitors skip, and the part that compounds into a moat.
Why this company
An engineering company that runs its own software
The complete ecosystem
Install, maintain, and independently monitor — not just an installer. The services earn the trust and the field data; the platforms turn it into product.
Two in-house platforms
Solar Performance Cloud (string-level solar inspection) and WattEY (site-level energy monitoring, control and billing) — built from first principles, not licensed.
Engineering-led
Every project and platform is designed and overseen by engineers. The AI recommends; people decide. That is what makes the output defensible.
Why this team
Founder-market fit, and the engineers who built the product
BijliBachao.pk was founded in 2018 by Engr. Reyyan Niaz Khan — a UET Lahore electrical engineer with 14+ years in Pakistan’s energy sector and the pioneer of digital energy auditing in the country. He leads the engineering and authors the company’s technical guides.
The platforms were designed and built by Ali Ahmed, Head of Energy Systems & Product Engineering — the product and software layer that turns metering, switching and solar-inverter data into numbers a business can trust, act on and bill from.

Deployed, measured, and reconciled
Figures as of September 2026. Dated, not timeless.
WattEY — energy & cost truth
- 5.7 GWh/year at the current rate
- 2.2 GWh measured since 15 November 2025
- 36 meters at 20 businesses in six cities
- 100% platform uptime (last 30 days)
- 3,649 alerts raised; reversed CT wiring caught automatically on 6 meters
- a disputed dairy-farm bill reconciled to 0.015% against the meter’s lifetime register
Solar Performance Cloud — solar-asset truth
- 1,000+ strings across 90+ sites and 100+ inverters
- 61% of monitored inverters had a dead string or went silent within 60 days
- fixing one dead string returned +31% output on that inverter
- alert noise cut 76%
- 2,610 MWh measured since April 2026
- 98% platform uptime; best-vs-worst site yield 4.8 vs 2.3 kWh/kWp/day
The moat
A ground-truth dataset that compounds
Independent, multi-brand, string-level monitoring across real commercial and industrial sites produces something rare: a measured record of how solar and energy actually behave in Pakistan — which faults really happen and how early they can be caught, how different brands hold up in heat and dust, how soiling and washing needs differ site to site, and, through WattEY, where every unit was generated, consumed and exported.
It is proprietary because it is earned on the ground, one site and one brand at a time. Every additional deployment widens it, and the platform’s trust discipline — it reconciles, or it marks the number unknown — is what keeps the dataset honest enough to build on.
Investor diligence
Questions we get, answered up front
- Is the problem real?
- Yes. A Pakistani commercial or industrial site runs on grid, rooftop solar and generator at once, and receives one confusing bill. The inverter, the generator and the utility meter each hold data in separate portals; none of them answers the owner’s real question — what is happening at my site, and what did it cost. BijliBachao built SPC and WattEY to close exactly that gap.
- Is the product actually deployed, and do customers use it?
- Both platforms run in production against real Pakistani energy. As of September 2026, WattEY has measured 2.2 GWh since 15 November 2025 across 36 meters at 20 businesses in six cities; Solar Performance Cloud keeps 1,000+ strings under continuous inspection across 90+ sites. These are named commercial and industrial clients, not pilots.
- What is proprietary — what is the moat?
- Running independent, string-level monitoring across real sites — every inverter brand, on the ground in Pakistan — produces a measured, ground-level record of how solar and energy actually behave here. No inverter maker, EPC or overseas software vendor holds it, because none of them watch every brand at the string level in this market. The more infrastructure the platform observes, the stronger that dataset becomes.
- Is this software, or an engineering/services business?
- It is an engineering-led company that builds and runs its own software. BijliBachao installs and maintains solar, and independently monitors it through two in-house platforms (SPC and WattEY). The services build the trust and the data; the platforms turn that into a defensible, repeatable product layer.
- Who founded and who leads the company?
- BijliBachao.pk was founded in 2018 by Engr. Reyyan Niaz Khan, a UET Lahore electrical engineer and the pioneer of digital energy auditing in Pakistan. Ali Ahmed is Head of Energy Systems & Product Engineering, who designed and built the WattEY and Solar Performance Cloud platforms.
- Could this become larger than the current business?
- The platform sits on top of physical energy infrastructure — a base that keeps growing as more solar, meters and generators are installed. The problem it solves (trustworthy, source-by-source energy truth) exists anywhere physical infrastructure meets money, so the model is built in Pakistan but not limited to it.
